Federal Taxes - Simbi & Sch C
Tax season is beginning.... Well, it actually never ends. Whether you are a calendar year filer or a fiscal year filer, as the owner of a small business-- it is always tax season.
Business accounting is a daily event. And self-employed individuals like yourself should be keeping track of all of those transactions. From your barter sales on Simbi (Yes, it is income. Yes, it is taxable.) To the deductible business expenses such as internet service for video calls. (What? A portion of it, yes.) Material purchases. (Even my glue gun? Yup.) And postage. (shipping and handling included.)
I can answer questions on how to complete your Schedule C self-employment income tax return which includes your Simbi income and the associated expenses. I can help you to complete a draft copy of your tax return without your personal information. You can then complete your return yourself or go to a local VITA organization where you can have your taxes filed for free provided you meet the income guidelines. I will not have any association with your local VITA organization, you will choose from a list directly from the IRS website.
If you just need help with your individual, non-business taxes, I can help with that too, under the same guidelines, no personal information. I am a strong believer that people should be informed and educated about their tax returns. And you shouldn't be charged an arm and a leg to have them completed.
