My name is Randolph and I am a grant writer.

Well, I do a bit more than write grants: I freelance administrative and writing services, I volunteer with several non-profit organizations, I actively work towards scaling my hobby into my primary business, and I’m constantly learning something new. But grant writing is a good place to start.

I began writing grants as an AmeriCorps VISTA. I learned that ideally, every organization would like to have a grant writer on staff or at the very least, as a volunteer. Funding opportunities are highly competitive but so is the search for experienced fundraising staff. Organizations must be “at-ready” at all times to apply for grant opportunities which can take a considerable amount of time and resources. And often fledgling organizations don’t have either.

A scalable boutique of virtual supportive services focused on grant readiness and capacity building for small non-profits and grassroots charities. I work directly with staff and volunteers to create documents that effectively communicate the organizational mission, program activities, and impact. Then, we together, taper focus to identify local businesses, foundations, and other giving organizations to enhance community awareness while pursuing funding and sponsorship support.
