Vegan and vegetarian meal planning
I can help you plan vegetarian and vegan friendly meals. This service is great for folks expecting vegetarian or vegan guests over the holidays, restaurant owners and caterers interested in creating inclusive menus, and people interested in learning about the vegetarian or vegan lifestyle for ethical or health reasons. I can help you plan meals based on items you already have, create recipes and shopping lists for items you want to make, or help you find a balanced way to incorporate vegetarian and vegan alternatives into traditional favorites for the holidays. Each planning session is a half hour. If you need more time during a session, then we can negotiate. We will want to discuss basic principles of leading a vegan lifestyle or vegetarian lifestyle if that's your plan, so you will want to plan for at least two sessions in that case. During the first session, we would discuss the basic principles of vegetarian and vegan eating. The Second session would focus on creating meal plans for at least a week to get you started. I am willing to arrange follow-up sessions for folks who need them.
Training & Qualifications
I have been a vegetarian for 18 years and a vegan for three. I often throw dinner parties featuring vegan food for guests who are vegetarian and guests who are not. I have also eaten many delicious meals at vegetarian friendly restaurants and have had experiences where meals could easily accommodate me but often don't . Of course, I do my own shopping and cooking. So, I know what to buy and where to get it with varying levels of convenience or do it yourself. I believe in creating meals that are fun, satisfying, and nutritionally balanced. You don't have to eat weird to eat vegan.
