For this, I have a deck called "The Witch's Oracle" and basically an oracle deck is used, sometimes in combination with a tarot reading, sometimes on it's own to get a bit more specific. Many people draw a single card to get a simple answer to a question, without the big picture perspective that the tarot offers.
