I'm a licensed Occupational Therapy - No, that's not a job coach (you're thinking a vocational counselor)
Occupational Therapy (or OT) helps people to do their every day tasks, such a getting use to using their kitchen with their new walker, or improving a child's handwriting for better success in school. Getting dressed after a stroke, organizing your office to better deal with you ADD, wiping you butt after you broke your wrist, helping teacher situate their classroom to accommodate a child's wheelchair - can all fall under the umbrella of what I do. Mostly I do a lot of education about disabilities in order to help families and individuals be as successful as they can be, no matter what their temporary or permanent conditions may be challenging them.
I'm also partnered with a fantastic wellness company. We offer weight loss and nutrition options, pre-diabeties support, help for those with heart disease and more.
