You are in the driver's seat. I'm here to support you, help you be accountable to yourself, brainstorm and give you additional options, and frame your path so that your goals are achievable. I'm very good at helping advocate with your various providers to make sure you get the care you need. It's hard to be persistent with medical personnel when you're sick or tired. I have lots of experience & tips to help with that.
This can be a one-off or short term process but it's usually better repetitively over the long term. I often use PRESCRIPTION FOR NUTRITIONAL HEALING as a resource and am very good with medical web research.
Training & Qualifications
I have been focused on my health through diet and exercise for three decades as well as losing 40 pounds. I have overcome multiple chronic health conditions after being told by medical professionals there was nothing to be done. I have also been a care giver for dozens of people in home based hospice type situations. I mostly follow Functional Medicine, the evidence based version of the paleo diet. I believe in the harm reduction model as well as Seligman's ideas from WHAT YOU CAN CHANGE AND WHAT YOU CAN'T. As a good Californian, I explored all the health fads: vegetarianism, veganism, meditation, yoga, low carb, juice fasting, macrobiotics, hypnotherapy and dozens of others. I'm a good compassionate listener, as well as very intuitive and a good problem solver.
