Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

This is an introduction to the yoga sutras of the Indian sage Patanjali, a collection of 196 Indian sutras (aphorisms) on the theory and practice of yoga. The Yoga Sutras were compiled prior to 400 CE by Patanjali who synthesized and organized knowledge about yoga.
There are four chapters:
In the first 51 verses of the Samādhi Pāda, the author describes yoga and then the nature and the means to attaining samādhi. This chapter contains the famous verse: "Yogaś citta-vritti-nirodhaḥ" ("Yoga is the restraint of mental modifications" or "Yoga is the cessation of movements in the consciousness").
This deal comprises:

Training & Qualifications
I've studied and played with sanātana dharma for more than 40 years and was initiated in various traditions.
I don't know everything but feel guided to uncover the treasures contained in these yoga sutras and other ancient texts in the dharma tradition.
