About Yang Yang Xue
My name is Yang Yang. I'm a tutor and an aspiring social worker.
In my spare time, I enjoy writing personal essays, playing music, and volunteering. In the past few years, I've had 7 pieces published in various anthologies. Apart from tutoring English and math, mostly to school-aged kids, I've volunteered with organizations such as Ten Thousand Villages which supports fair trade, Deafblind Services of Ontario, and Kiwanis which is an international service organization.
I also enjoy learning languages. Apart from English, I understand Mandarin, Cantonese, American Sign Language, a bit of French (mostly because I live in Canada), and a bit of Arabic. In the future, I'd like to be conversationally fluent in French to communicate with more people in Canada. Maybe Simbi can help me with that :)
