I can talk on a variety of botanical medicine topics:

-Adaptogens for a Better Life: Dealing with everyday stress, anxiety, and fatigue
-Immunomodulators to Maintain Health
-Nervines: Uppers, Downers and All-Arounders
-Herbs for Cold and Flu
-Calming the Nerves: Using anxiolytic, nutritive and adaptogenic herbs to normalize your bodies stress response
-Herbs and Techniques for Smoking Cessation
-Returning Cannabis to the Herbal Medicine Cabinet
-Essential Oils: basics of what an EO is, sourcing, product variability, current grading terms used in commerce, methods of administration and current political situation in the USA.
-Major Differences Between Western Herbalism and Allopathic Medicine
-Medicinal Preparations Class (pick one: tinctures, salves, tea blends, etc...)
-How to Design an Herbcentric First Aid Kit
-An Introductory Discussion on Ayahuasca: what is happening pharmacologically and psychologically, types of ceremony, coadministered herbs, psychological and physical preparations.
-Bartender Herbalism: Preparing Your Own Bitters and Simple Syrups
-Distillation: Production of Essential Oils or Theoretical Ethanol Production (distilling can be an indepth talk and therefore can easily develop into several chats)
-Botanical Simples: An in-depth discussion of any herb of your choosing
-Herbs by body system they affect (ie nervous system, circulatory system. Etc...)
-Herbs by plant family (ie ie Solanaceae, Apiaceae, etc...)

I teach herbalism the way I learned it, with a 3 fold approach: current clinical information (my own as well as fellow practitioners), current research and trustworthy ethnobotanical information.

I will adjust the chat to fit your interests and requests. I can of course talk on more topics than I listed above! I just listed the most common topics that came to mind. Message me to discuss your specific interests. I'll get down to the root of the matter in around 30 minutes. Leaving you with a good understanding of the topic while also supplying you with leads to further your own self led learning.

Training & Qualifications

I have been an avid student of the plants since 2007, graduating with a BS in Herbal Science in 2011. I have studied ailments affecting the human condition for much longer than I have studied plant medicine.

About Trevor Clark

I am an herbalist and avid student of the plants. I began studying herbs after being diagnosed with several chronic pain conditions following a spinal fusion. I was in bed for around 4 years before I ...found the herbs that set me on the path towards healing! After regaining my life I became obsessed with studying plant medicine and introducing others to it. I trained as a traditional Western herbalist at Bastyr University in Washington state. While a student I followed an ethnobotanical lead on a largely forgotten Cherokee herb and discovered a chemical not known to exist in any native plant in North America. I have worked as a clinical herbalist since 2014. After graduating with a B.S. in Herbal Sciences I spent time studying herbs abroad and working on various farms. I then worked in botanical medicine research on projects ranging from an NCCAM integrative oncology translational outcomes study, researching ayahuasca for an FDA investigational new drug license (IND), and working on botanical heritage preservation. I left the windowless constraints of the analytical lab and medical chart room to study plants up close. I embarked on a two month, 650 mile solo canoe trip where I cataloged the botanical medicines of Alabama. I was able to get 9 corporate sponsors for this trip and all I had to do was write a blog; which ended up with around 132,000 readers. I have worked as a product formulator for numerous start-up companies. I am adjunct faculty for the Botanical Medicine Department at Bastyr University. show more
