Ask an atheist anything!
2
I'll gladly converse with you on religion / faith. While I consider myself an atheist, I'm respectful of others and enjoy hearing about all different religions or lack thereof.
Why I do this:
In my experience discussing things like this with my religious friends benefits them as it gives them an insight into reasons one might be resistant to any given faith. Knowing where the doubts are helps them to anticipate rebuttal and strengthen their arguments / approach when trying to bring in new members.
I enjoy it because I'm an atheist by process of elimination rather than a strong conviction. If there was an avenue I'd not considered that might sway me to the other side of the fence, I would be happy to know of it. Even in cases where I've heard the arguments before, it benefits me to know how and why my peers feel as they do by making me a more rounded individual.
Training & Qualifications
While I'm by no means an expert, I'd like to consider myself a well informed person. I know a little about most major current religions, and those of the past A.K.A. Mythology
My areas of weakness would be in some of the Eastern religions. I know very little about the teachings of Taoism, Hinduism, and Sikhism.
