Harm reduction safety buddy
If you're ever at risk of overdose from down or Oxy's or any other substance that might have been contaminated by Fentanyl, I would be happy to be on the other end of a phone line so that I can keep you safe and call someone for you so they can respond in person. (Either a friend that's nearby or 911 if that's the only option.)
You'll need to give me your address so you'd have to trust me with that, but I'd only use it if I need to call for help.
We'll stay on the phone for as long as it takes for you to go through your process and do what you need to do. I'll ask you to let me know what you're doing and how, so that I have that information for anyone else who might need it if things go badly. We'll agree on what I should expect (if you're just using to maintain for e.g.) and how long I should give you to respond before calling a third party for help.
We'll also agree how long to wait to ensure that you're totally okay before we 'check out' and say goodbye.
My goal here is to keep you safe, one person, one hit at a time.

I'm part of the harm reduction community here in Vancouver.
Overdose is reversible, as long as you have someone watching over you and ready to do whatever they need to do in case things go wrong.
