I'm a retired H.S. teacher ... taught Math & various Bus. classes of which Accounting was my favourite. (notice CDN spelling? lol) I do live in Northern Ontario in Sudbury - the nickel capital of the world.
I've taken up biking (as in motorcycle) and many other interests just since retiring in 2003. Don't let my time on this earth fool you ... i'm lucky to be alive as I went through the 'cancer thing' 7 yrs ago and enjoy life more than at any other time. As I say, age is a number and i'm as young as my heart leads me.
I learnt and taught how to use the computer and find what I need to know and then put it in written form for my own needs. Keyboarding was my first subject to teach, being able to type was my foot in the teaching door and the rest is history. I have taught younger kids, mostly teenagers and adults (some that were older than myself) I worked on a aboriginal reserve and in a minimum security prison.
I love dancing with my partner or with anyone who wants to boogie - lol; I especially love music. Music is what I often use to get me going when I'm down or too mellow for the moment. I'm a fan of 50's & 60's but I still listen to top 40 on the radio.
I enjoy looking at how to better myself and be a little less sensitive to people, places and things that trigger my buttons - so to speak. By being less sensitive to outside factors, I believe I'm better for it. The place to start for overall happiness is taking a good look at myself and stop blaming everyone else for my state of being. I have to take care of myself and let others take care of themselves.
Since 'boundaries' is one of my services, I want to share some basic experience that I've picked up. Boundaries are about 'me', although it certainly affects all the 'you' out there.
Enough about me ... now, I'd like to meet some folks out there.
BTW, I have no specific services that I need - at the moment. I will browse and take a look at what is out there in Simbi.
