Through a series of email conversations, I'll give you my professional opinion on any tailoring question you may have. I strongly encourage pictures of the item involved in your question, as they speak volumes.
Training & Qualifications
I am a professional tailor with 20+years of experience. I have done everything from quilting to upholstery, though I am not very practiced at the later. I love quilting, embroidery, tailoring, and bridal as far as sewing. I also do bead-work, cross-stitch, hair-sticks, a tiny bit of origami. But I cannot knit/crochet. Something about taking a 2D line and making it into a 3D object that cannot be altered by a sewing machine makes my mind a little confused.
I have been doing beadwork for almost as long as I have been sewing. There are a number of beadwork patterns I have memorized and make in multiple colors and variations.
