I am a professional tailor with 20+years of experience. I have done everything from quilting to upholstery, though I am not very practiced at the later. I love quilting, embroidery, tailoring, and bridal as far as sewing. I also do bead-work, cross-stitch, hair-sticks, a tiny bit of origami. But I cannot knit/crochet. Something about taking a 2D line and making it into a 3D object that cannot be altered by a sewing machine makes my mind a little confused.
I have been doing beadwork for almost as long as I have been sewing. There are a number of beadwork patterns I have memorized and make in multiple colors and variations.
I am a gamer as well, and by that I mean my roots are in LARPs and tabletop games. The Dragon Age games have captivated my attention and I am an avid player on my PS3/4.
I am fluent in the way computers work, and in high school I wrote a program in Basic that, when you enter your full first, last name, and month and day you were born, would give you your Minnesota's driver's license number. (They have since changed the process in which those are decided upon.)
I enjoy expanding my horizons of crafting and have been recently inspired by other Simbi contributors to expand into other crafting areas.
