I will help you develop a plan to change most behaviors that you and your child is struggling with. I will provide you a simple plan that you can implement and is backed up by evidence based research.
We will identify the target behavior you would like to change, do an analysis of why the behavior may be occurring, and help you develop a plan to change the behavior.
In addition I will discuss with you a various skill sets that most parents never learn.
This plan will be functional and simple. These skills will make you a more effective parent.
This service will be completed over chat/text sessions.
Training & Qualifications
I work as Clinical Behavioral Psychotherapist in an inner city school system. My professional work experience consists of working with children and adolescents with extreme social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
I have a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Clinical Behavioral Psychology. I am a National Board Certified Mental Health Counselor, licensed School Adjustment Counselor, and licensed School Guidance Counselor in the state of Massachusetts. I have strong behavior modification training and a focus in evidence-based counseling approaches.
I incorporate Family Systems, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving, and Motivational Interviewing, into my practice, all which provide a solid theoretical basis for working with students and families. I have significant experience collecting behavioral data, designing individual behavior plans, creating behavioral programs for schools, teachers, counselor, and parents.
Overall, I am passionate about working with children and adolescents that struggle behaviorally, emotionally, and socially. I am a highly driven individual who cares about kids and wants to make a difference. I am a lifelong learner and enjoy growing from challenging work.
