I am passionate about teaching writing, and I live for igniting that same passion in others.
I have a solid grasp of grammar, and a lot of experience in teaching those mechanics to learners of all levels. If you're an ESL learner trying to get your verb tenses right, or a proficient writer who just wants to know how semicolons work, I'd love to help you understand.
If you have an assignment in analyzing literature, poetry or prose, I can help you uncover the meaning of the piece and formulate meaningful opinions about it.
One of my favorite things to teach is how to write a thesis statement, create an outline (that actually works), and structure an essay - all in a lesson I can give you in about fifteen minutes.
I'll help you learn to write with precision, depth, and tact.
My experience really lies in teaching college level students, but I'd be willing to work with high school students and lower.
Though I do have a lot of experience working with ESL students, I wouldn't say that I can teach English - but I can help you practice the skills.

10+ years writing experience.
3 month tutor training class.
Roughly 750 hours tutoring experience at a community college.
A lot of college experience (still working on the degree, but I hung around my community college for a few extra years).
