At a school in suburban New Jersey, I started my first novel. I was ten years old, finishing two years later at four hundred pages. I haven't stopped writing since. My first grade teacher predicted I would be an author, which I resented because, thanks to the phonetics of the word, I associated it with Arthur, the cartoon aardvark. I was not, nor will I ever be, a cartoon aardvark.
I've since graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a Bachelors Degree in Dramatic Writing.
The moral to most of my written works falls into the category of “be yourself,” and overall I want audiences to learn to feel comfortable representing themselves as they see fit, and comfortable communicating their needs and honest opinions in times of necessity. While my stories may not all be fit for a G rating, I do my best to make them appropriate for as wide an age group as possible, because everyone can gain something from them.
