I'm currently wrapping up and reworking a manuscript I've been working on for at least five years. I have zero "training" in writing and even less in editing. My goal is to submit the end product to a few local publishing contests. The book is near and dear to my heart but may be way out in left field,.... don't know that I want to ask family and friends to help in the editing because I wouldn't want anyone to feel cringingly obligated. Also I would like some honest, candid feedback from someone with experience publishing or editing. I can't afford to hire for this type of service so a trade would be very helpful. It would also be rad if a sit down could be arranged, I am not tech savvy and am more trusting of the real world over the virtual world. Someone within 30 miles of the Durham, NC area would be great.
