As some background, I'm a Muslim woman who converted from Christianity alongside my immediate family. I was born and raised in America, as my family has been for countless generations. I'm white, with lineage going back to Britain, Germany, and Italy. My political leanings are very far left, and my religious dedication is fairly strong (always room for spiritual growth). I'm a non-denominational Muslim who follows the Qur'an and strong hadith. I follow scholarly consensuses that have backing in either of those sources, rather than one scholar or another's opinion.
I answer many questions about Islam and my experiences on Quora, but I wanted to offer the Simbi community a window into the same. If my perspective is of interest, I'd love to share some knowledge and stories with you!
