I'm a Cuban American who came to Texas from NY metro area as an economic refuge. I have a professional background in teaching Kung Fu.
My wife is a Mexican American from El Paso. She has a professional background in education and music.
We met through Plenty Of Fish year end 2012 and now have a beautiful baby boy. Our interests include making good food, gardening, music, running, and any activity with the baby or dogs.
We became vegetarian the summer of 2014. Since then, our tastebuds have changed. Our food developed intense variety. And we've both lost good amounts of weight.
Currently I run Austin's premier integrative medical practice, called PAR Acupuncture. Big changes with a baby so we can use all the help we can get. Some help from our simbi community can make a big difference for us!
We also have a lot to give that doesn't take much more time or money from our life. We can cook extra food for our simbi friends, share fermentable cultures, and give a huge variety of advice.
My wife and I have a dream of opening up a vegetarian restaurant called "The Stoneground Cafe." We cook at home with Organic ingredients and plenty of fermented food in the pursuit of the perfect menu.
One of my favorite activities is to serve this food to guests. Eating together is the best way to make new friends! We invite our Simbi friends to join us for dinner. :)
