I am a podcast host, a musician, a teacher and a facilitator of self-healing. I am a licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist in the United States (LMBT) and I have been practicing body awareness through yoga teaching, functional movement facilitation and inquiry-based bodywork for the past four years. I also assist with courses in Osteopathic Manual Therapy for students in current manual therapy training programs and I have an ever-evolving self-practice that allows me to access greater depth with my students and clients as I learn to speak the language of my own body more fluently.
I also use Simbi as a platform to coach people through Stress Management. I take an integrative approach to Stress Management, drawing from techniques from trainings and courses I have taken around the world. I blend Eastern and Western thought in my approach to teaching relaxation and centeredness. Through both work and study in Applied Psychophysiology, Biofeedback and other various techniques that view stress management through a more Western-focused lens, I use techniques that are highly supported by peer-reviewed research. Although these techniques often work very well with clients, I have found much more success with the more freeing realm of Eastern techniques. Having studied yoga in India, I draw from a body of knowledge that has been communicated through the human experience for over 5000 years. Utilizing techniques of breathwork, yoga postures, and philosophical reframing of the stress itself, I am able to reach clients in ways that allow transformation to present itself in a rapid, yet organic way.
