I will discuss my experience and try to answer any questions you have about adoption. We adopted our daughter in 2015 and I can share my experience with the homestudy process, certification, lawyers, court systems, financial implications, birth parents, emotional roller coasters, integration with biological children, insurance, taxes, and more.
Training & Qualifications
I am a certified foster and adoptive parent, worked closely with adoption lawyers in our process. We were certified as foster parents first with plans to foster then adopt, but then pursued a private domestic adoption. I can discuss financial implications, family integration, and our experience with the birth parents.
