Hi! My jack of all trades husband and I thought it wise to buy an old house and have kids right away when we got married in 2012. Warp speed to current time where you'll find Zach working on our 1919 fixer upper in St Johns while I wrangle our two small girls and tirelessly keep them away from the hack saws.
After providing childcare for families outside of the house for 14+ years, I have started a casual drop-in day care out of ours. We have a giant play structure, large garden, 9 chickens, a badass greenhouse, loads of organic goodies growing in the yard and plenty of toys to keep kids of all ages happy.
(We are also smitten for sushi, brewing beer, bicycles, live music, hiking, surfing and binge watching Netflix when the stars align.)
We are constantly purchasing items from home improvement/gardening stores and will soon be remodeling our entire upstairs. Ideally we'd locate an architect/engineer/electrician that could trade us their services for my childcare offerings. We would also be interested in organic or free range meats, any bohemian type furnishings, yard furniture or decorations, house cleaning or even massage or haircuts.
I babysit for several families in the neighborhood and have solid references. Cheers!
