Computer Science Assistance

5

5 per hour - Virtual OK - Posted Dec 21, 2016

I can provide assistance with computer science which comes in many different flavors. This may include help with homework assignments (check qualifications to see if I can properly help), help studying for any exams you have, ideas for any projects you are planning, or possibly help debugging/analyzing your code. If you would like to go beyond Simbi with work on a much larger project, we can definitely work something out since I am always looking to help with expansive ideas. As for Simbi, our time together would be extremely flexible to your needs. If you want help with homework, we can talk it over and see how to get you the fastest solution possible. If you want help studying for exams, I can assist in whatever way works best for you to learn the material (flash cards, memorizing, mnemonics, etc). If you need help with ideas, we can work together to form grids, diagrams, and models to come up with an array of projects/thoughts/concepts for you to go off of. With programming, I can easily take a look and help you figure out what may be causing issues and how we can go about fixing it! I look forward to meeting you and having a great time!

Training & Qualifications

I have experience up to Data Structures within the college level computer science field. This gives me a solid knowledge in C++ with a touch of C and Java. I am also constructing an artificial intelligence in my spare time which really helps me expand my C++ knowledge base.

Availability & Preferences

I am available almost every day. This may change in the next few months.

Trading Preference: I’m flexible, just hit me up!

About Taylor Thomas

Throughout my life I have always had an eye for technology. I always wanted to learn about all the latest and greatest things being made. It doesn't hurt that I come from a background of family member...s who are very tech oriented. In high school I learned a lot about the kind of field I wanted to pursue while getting a lot of general skills. I realized I wanted to go more into software development and computer programming. On the side, I gained skills in interviewing, public speaking, and general business knowledge. These skills were better improved through my involvement with Minnesota Business Venture (MBV) and DECA. After my first semester of college, I decided to dig in deep and really search for what I wanted to do with my life. During second semester I grabbed another concentration, major, and minor which will give me a much better understanding of computers in general. Currently, I am declared in the major Applied Mathematics and Computer Science with a concentration in Software Development and Information Assurance and Cyber Security with a double major in Information and Communication Technologies with a minor in Computer Networking and Information Technology. Definitely a tongue twister of a degree, but basically it means I will be studying Programming, Cyber Security, Networking, and Business Technologies. Along with that, I am also the Treasurer of five organizations on my campus which definitely helps me stay involved and constantly moving around. To sweeten the deal, I work about 23 hours a week on the side in a bakery/dishroom. Studying two majors and a minor, being deeply involved with five organizations, and working on the side definitely takes up a lot of my time. It's hard work and some days are longer than others, but as long as I'm following my dream, every second is worth it. I hope I can take what I learn through internships and my schooling to go into a field in Software Development, Systems Administration, or Cyber Security. show more
