45-Minute Linux Systems Support
20
Having issues with a system running Linux? Looking to configure a home media service or file server for your home or small office? New to Linux after converting from another operating system and need some help getting up and running? No worries! I'm more than happy to help you work through most issues faced by the typical consumer or small business user within the Linux operating system environment.
Should the issue prove larger than a 45-minute session I'm more than confident we can work something out through Simbi. However, I've found 45 minutes to typically be more than enough for most issues that are not hardware related. Feel free to contact me with your issue, and we can get started on the road to having your system in ship-shape in no time!
I can try to help you with your issues remotely over skype, but it will be in the typical 'tech support' fashion where you'll have to do the clicking. I'm not a fan of having people open up remote connections to their machine. If the issues proves too difficult for over the phone support, however, we can surely do remote desktop work if you are comfortable with it. :)
Training & Qualifications
I am a Licensed Apple OSX Support Technician, and I have been a web and software developer since 2006. I am also an active Linux and encryption enthusiast as well as a hobbyist systems administrator. I will be sitting for my Linux Professional Institute Certification Level 1 exam in May 2017.
Availability & Preferences
I work from home so I am typically free to work around others schedules as long as you don't mind me bringing my laptop and mobile phone in the case of a work emergency. They are rare, but they do happen occasionally.
