Custom Cross Stitch

I am just finishing up my first cross stitch which is a gift for a friend, and I have to say, while not perfect yet, I think it came out rather well and I really had fun doing it. I will make a small custom cross stitch. The picture I have used is of my nearly completed project. It is a medium to large project, so I am limiting myself to small projects since the main picture of this took me two and a half years to do. So, what is left to do on this piece? I am highlighting with silver in various spots. and adding a border.

I work from home, and while I have some college experience, I am mostly self taught.
