This is the process I found to be most effective and efficient when I was a literary agent, offering editing services to non-clients.
First, I determine by your sample, provided in the introductory 5 page Editing Sample, which level of editing you need. I can also work by the hour and give you an estimate of the time your manuscript will take from your sample. If you prefer my hourly rate, please let me know in advance. I work on a flat 25s hourly rate, but the price varies by time estimated.
If your manuscript is sound and well structured, but has more than an average of one error per page and needs some rewording, this is the service you need. I will make the editing notes and return the manuscript to you for your approval of the edits. I work in MS Word.
The unit price is per 250 word page, the publishing standard.
