Introduction to Ayurveda
15
During this introductory conversation, we will discuss Ayurveda, the ancient healing tradition from India. Ayurveda offers natural alternatives to conventional medicines and treatments. You will receive invaluable insight to healing remedies with regard to the three mind-body types, or doshas; Vata, Pitta and Kapha. I will refer to The Complete Book of Ayurvedic Home Remedies, by VASANT LAD, B.A.M.S., M.A.Sc. throughout our conversation.
During the session you are free to ask questions about any specific ailment or symptoms you are experiencing. I will use Dr. Lad's book, along with my intuition and life experience, to help demystify your personal situation. There are simple adjustments you can make in your everyday life which will reduce stress and lead to harmonious transformation.
*IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: I am not a medical professional or a doctor. I am simply spreading awareness about this amazing ancient science based on personal experience and self-taught knowledge.
**You are advised to speak with your health care professional prior to trying any of the remedies you learn about during the session.
Training & Qualifications
Presently, I am self-taught. I practice many of the Ayurvedic lifestyle recommendations everyday. I see first hand the extreme benefits this ancient wisdom has given my body, mind and spirit. My stress level has decreased immensely and as a result I am happier. My mind does not real uncontrollably, instead I am filled with a sense of peace and serenity. I am able to accomplish many complex tasks without getting overwhelmed or emotionally drained. I am able to go through my day without taking small issue personally and feel extremely empowered.
I want nothing more than to share the knowledge from my experience and to spread awareness for this beautiful healing art. I am by no means an expert. I am simply overflowing with gratitude for the gift of health and abundance that is flooding my life since adopting small changes to my daily routine. I have made many mistakes and done many a disservice to my body in the past, but Ayurveda is teaching me how to live in harmony with the laws of nature.
I am also preparing to become a Certified Ayurvedic practitioner.
