I'm many things, but ultimately I'm a helper.
I'm a reckless optimist, nerd, introvert, Hufflepuff, gamer, reader, writer, amateur derby skater, and passionate about all sorts of things.
I'm not afraid to say I don't know something, but follow it up with some variation of "let's figure it out together".
I currently have a career in Information Technology, and have a wealth of experience supporting users and applications in many different kinds of environments. While I enjoy it overall, I love working one on one with people to figure out problems/solutions together... and I just don't get to do that enough in my current environment.
I I do my best to treat people and their problems with respect, and I'm told I have a knack for explaining technical concepts in a way that is relatable; often anthropomorphising, or explaining with humor.
For example, my favorite concept is 'Spontaneous Proximal Repair' which is when something just magically starts working when you ask for help (like when you bring your car into the shop, and it stops making that really annoying squeaking noise!)... It's totally a thing!
I believe that technical support should always have an educational component, and do my best to share my knowledge (and enthusiasm!!) with others, whenever possible.
Are you interested in a service that seems like something I could offer, I'm just not listing it yet? Please send me a message, I'd love to help!
