Photo portfolios: Power critique!
20
Just starting off in photography or photojournalism, or you've been in the business a while but starting to promote your work more aggressively, and want some expert feedback on how your portfolio looks to others, with real tips on how to do better?
This is a critique of your digital portfolio website (preferable) and/or collections of images that may reside on Instagram, Flickr or elsewhere.
Please share your goals for putting your photo work out there, and if applicable, what you'd most like feedback on. I'll look at content/tone of your collected work, flow, navigation, descriptions/captions, and personal brand issues (i.e. how or whether you describe yourself, your work, your outlook, your availability to clients, etc.)
I love photography and making portfolios better! Looking forward to seeing yours and offering advice on how to make even more of an impact.
Training & Qualifications
I've been a picture editor in some form or another for three decades. As a professor or adjunct at the college level, as well as consultant to magazines and newspapers, I've worked with photojournalism students and professionals around the globe. Personally, I'm an avid photographer of landscapes and abstracts, and have some experience shooting news and features stories as well. I've even conducted training for editors, newsroom managers, and photographers to provide better feedback and critique.
