Charcoal Artist

"An Artist's duty is to reflect the times." -Nina Simone.
I do not believe that art is valued in the price of a market place. I believe it is valued in the willingness of the artist to let go of it. If you are not as happy keeping your art as you are selling it, then it is not even worth to you what you ask of others for it. I also believe that beneath discomfort, vulnerability is fundamentally beautiful. So shall I die rich in my own art, a rich man I shall die indeed.
I am affordable for my time ($20/hr), but my work takes a lot of time. Before I start the drawing I put several hours of work into planning and designing the final reference images I will use, and the detailed drawing itself takes many hours because it's a messy medium on a groovey surface. One work of art can take anywhere from one to several weeks of full-time work. That said, here are my prices (for Simbi, multiply by 3):
12X24 (Very rectangular)= $500
18X24 = $750
24X36 = $1,500
36X48 = $3,000
If there's a size you're interested in that is not listed above, send me a message and I will gladly get you a quote. Thanks.
