Beekeeper Setup Lessons

Beekeeper Business Lessons! A new technology beehive has now been developed. This one box can double honey production, increasing honeybee lifetime by a non-chemical treatment. Add one of these boxes to the bottom of your hive stack to significantly reduce varroa mites, nosema, and small hive beetle pests out in the field. If you are already a woodworker, then here is a cool product to produce! If you are a beekeeper, and won't mind a simple woodworking project to sell to fellow beekeepers, the equipment to make such hive boxes only costs about $1000. Do you already have most of the basic tools already in your garage: a drill, a router table, a compound miter saw? This service here is online advice: it is supplementary to the sponsorship forms and work instructions with drawings and plans you will need. It does not cover the cost of your tools or your agreement with the non-profit company that holds the patents and patents pending on these designs. They will ask a small sponsorship percentage of your sales to help support more bee research. Most of the profit is yours -- so it should be OK to give them credit to sponsor their hard work - and willingness to share ideas with you!

Honeybees already make our gardens produce at least twice as much food using exactly the same land, without fertilizer. Helping bees become successful is one way to make a profit, but this profit comes with benefits to nature and biodiversity. If you are a beekeeper, then it is simple: More honey makes more money!

About Pete Butzloff

Background in Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, and nowadays: Biology, Ecological Entrepreneurship. This explains how I operate as a non-profit volunteer, with interests in ecology and su...stainable business consulting. My hobby is my mission - beekeeping (Consider bees as pets who can provide a backyard source of income!) Bees are the little hands that feed us. It stands to reason we should honor and respect their pollination services to the biosphere. Part of that responsibility is to make sure bees can continue to help feed people all over the world. I tell people who like to garden, that the same field they now use will produce at least twice as many fruits and vegetables with no fertilizer added if they put one beehive nearby. Imagine what this kind of leverage can do for subsistence farmers to overcome some of the limits of poverty...and what someone like you or I can do to help them help themselves! Putting food on the table is a pretty good way to show we care. So, that's why it makes me feel good to help advance the science of beekeeping, putting those tools to good use where it can do the most good. show more
