Life casting and mold making lesson
100
I will teach you how to make molds from lively things like hands, feet, even faces! I'll also teach you how to make a casting from the mold we make. You'll learn safe material handling and safe mold making materials for life casting, you learn pour techniques that prevent bubbling and get good castings with plenty of life like detail. You'll learn where to get resin and mold material as well as proper storage and handling of these materials. You'll learn what makes life casting different from standard silicone casting, and how to pose your life casts for the best results.
To top it off, we will make a hand casting of your very own hand! These finished castings are tough and hardy, suitable for sculpture indoors or outdoors- personally I like to paint them mottled greens and browns and put them in the garden so it looks like I've got a zombie problem. Perfect for Halloween, or all year round because zombies like summer too.
(The neighbours think I'm a real treat let me tell you!)
