Fantasy Artifact Creation
15
Just for you, I'll design and describe an artifact of immeasurable power! Or, I'll make one that's severely limited or even hilariously stupid. Which would you prefer? I can make them simple or complex, and though I won't create visuals (not really confident in that, unfortunately), I WILL write descriptions of both what the artifact is capable of AND what it looks like in detail!
You can use these for Dungeons and Dragons (might cost extra for research into how it can be done within the rules), or for your writing, or anything you can think of! Below, I have a sample.
This highly-polished and stout wand is two inches wide at the thickest and tapers to a point at the handle. At seven and a half inches long, the swirling together of amethyst and milky quartz are interspersed with thin obsidian and mother-of-pearl bands that give it the appearance of agate and the look of an object worth beyond its weight in gold: from both materials and inhuman craftsmanship. The tapered point is achieved by a swirling, like two eels coiled about each other.
The wand's purpose is unknown, but from its brilliant gold-flecked ruby tip, it emits light when a person holds it to their lips and hums. It grows brighter with higher pitches, and changes color at seemingly random points.
An academic investigation into the object has found ties to an insectoid race from the desert, who may have used it as a way to communicate across distances at night. When broken, it releases a choking gas, but there is no sign of an hollows within that could hold this gas.
Training & Qualifications
I've spent years creating and designing fantasy elements, so object design has come up now and again. Only rarely am I ever stumped by what to make, and I have a lot of fun with the creation and imagining process.
Availability & Preferences
Available daily at most hours, though I may be slow-ish to respond due to silly things like sleep and meals.
