Need a LinkedIn account but not sure where to start? Do you list everything you've ever done? Is it more like a resumé, or a full job history?
I can help! I can assist you with setting up a polished comprehensive LinkedIn profile. Too often I see people using LinkedIn as though it were an extension of Facebook, and that's simply not the case.
A LinkedIn account can give you an edge when applying for jobs by displaying you're trying your hardest and putting your best foot forward. A URL can also be provided with online applications to help employers put a face to your name, and make you stand out as a candidate.
I can help you with a variety of tasks including:

Step by step, the process entails:
1) Having a brief "interview" with you. This helps give me an idea of what you're like, what you enjoy doing, your strengths and weaknesses, and what you're trying to do with your career path.
2) Getting job/volunteer work/education history from you so we can decide what is relevant to your future career path and what to include.
3) Tips on taking a professional looking LinkedIn photo at home, if you do not already have one.
4) I will then set your LinkedIn profile up for you, using a throwaway email, which will then be changed to an email of your choice once the profile is completed.
What this means is that once completed, you can change the password and only you will have access to your LinkedIn account going forward.
This is a great opportunity for those who want to set up a professional profile but are cramped on time or are unfamiliar with the system.
This does not require any information from you such as Social Security number, ID number, or credit card information.

I have set up LinkedIn profiles both for myself and for several friends. After hearing them praise my efforts and thank me, I decided that extending the offer to others might help them as well.
Please feel free to view my profile for an idea of what you can expect as an entry level worker. If you are more skilled, your profile will have more material. It varies on a case to case basis and this is just an example (although all my information on there is true, as this is my actual LinkedIn account).
