I split most of my spare time between cartooning, hockey, and brewing beer. During the day I do scientific marketing for pharmaceutical companies.
I love cartooning because humour is one of my favourite forms of creativity. Making someone chuckle with a funny doodle is my favourite goal. My love of cartooning has also translated into an interest in casting resin figures- sort of like the cartooning of the sculpture world. I prefer to have the finished product in resin as opposed to a polymer clay because it is so much more durable- I feel like I am making something lasting that people can enjoy as a toy, because it is not so fragile.
I play hockey and watch hockey! I'm not going to broadcast my team affiliations to avoid chirping.
I love craft beer because I come from a microbiology background and brewing beer has been such a surprising blend of creativity and science. When we started I had no idea that there would be such an endless range of techniques in brewing, along with a rich history which I've also become interested in. My brew partner and I try to experiment with as many different small batch recipes as we can, so we have gone through quite a lot in the past year +. We especially enjoy naming our brews!
