I will spend 30 to 45 min helping you in as many ways as I can to develope your small business thoughts and ideas into a decision and plan. I can help you take a small on the side operation into a more formal and structured business. I always felt there was a veil of secrets behind business ownership and now that I'm on the other side I'd like to help prep people for what really go into starting and running a small business.

We'll start buy getting and understanding of the size and type of your interest and if I don't think my experiences will benefit you much then I will be honest and upfront to not waste your time or simbis . If my experiences is a great match then we'll hit as much as we can per session in the areas you want to focus on ranging from idea refining and strategic business planning to financing info, corporate structure etc. Let's talk and get you into business!

Training & Qualifications


I am a multi-unit business owner and territory developer for the franchise I am a part of. I give business strategic planning advice and take in my own advice from mentors on a regular basis. I've filed LLC's for people, helped advise on borrowing start up money, advised on business location selection, lease negotiations and more.

About Matthew Marcom

"Do you want to move to Greensboro and open a Pelican's?" was my subtle text to my then Fiance asking her to run away with me on a business adventure. The reply was short and read something like, "Sur...e, when do we leave?" We had no clue how fast things were about to move. Especially since part of the deal was also the chance to help develop an expansive, but empty, territory for a then-fledgling franchise of around 13 stores. My wife and I picked up what little we had at 20 and 22 years old and moved away. We didn't end up in Greensboro but landed in Columbia, SC and found success. We have helped develop our area from our one store to a 32 store and growing territory. We've trained countless people on how to make the best SnoBalls in the most efficient manner and helped improve the company infrastructure through sharing our own training methods. I've become more confident in small business. I am my own HR department, I analyze the financials to make the long and short-term decisions to keep things running at their best, and I am perpetually training. I could list so much that opening this business has taught me but above all, I've learned that you can't do it all alone. Business is about relationships: partners, employees, contractors, corporate office, customers, vendors and the list goes on! From that knowledge, I have come to pride myself in having the ability to develop relationships and earn loyalty.
