"The fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, they laughed at the Wright brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown."
Carl Sagan
I realize in advance that this service will be offensive to many, I am happy to hear your constructive criticism and am putting this out because Simbi is becoming a bastion of pseudoscience and there needs to be a counterbalance.
I identify as a scientific skeptic meaning that I accept facts based on the evidence laid out by science. This is very different from a denialist who when confronted with evidence will find a way to reject it such as those who say climate change isn't real or the Holocaust never happened.
Skepticism typically deals with topics such as: Alternatives to Medicine, Critical Thinking, Cryptozoology, ETs & UFOs, Frauds, Hoaxes, and Conspiracies, Junk Science, Paranormal, Science & Philosophy, Supernatural (including the claims of religion).
What I am offering is a second opinion on how a good or service holds up in the realm of science. For example:
- Planning an expidition to Loch Ness to look for the monster?
- Looking into an alternative to giving your kids vaccinations?
- Thinking about sending money to a televangelist?
- Wondering if the world is controlled by Reptaloids?
Potentially running an idea past me could save you a lot of money or even the lives of yourself and others. I am very flexible on how to go about this, I would also be up for helping out with critical thinking or simply a philosophical debate.
I can preform this either through a call or by messages.
