Massage or CranioSacral Therapy

90

90 per hour - - Posted Dec 30, 2017

I've been a licensed massage therapist for nearly 12 years, and have been practicing Upledger's CranioSacral therapy for the past 8. I'm currently seeing clients at a studio in College Park, MD by appointment only. My primary areas of focus are stress relief, anxiety, depression, trouble sleeping or settling, headaches, and stress-related digestive disorders such as IBS. I am also trained in pre and post-natal massage. So, in general, if what you need is to chill out and feel more ease in your body, we're probably a good fit. If you have a specific injury or are an athlete looking for dynamic stretching and deep tissue work, you'd probably be happier with another therapist (and I'd be happy to point you in the right direction).

Bodywork sessions are offered in-studio only (no home visits) and are strictly therapeutic and non-sexual in nature. (Yes. There is still confusion about this in our industry!) I offer 30, 60 and 90 minute sessions and my usual rate is $90/hour.

Infant Massage Instruction

About Jessica LaGarde

I'm busy raising a young daughter, practicing massage and teaching kid's yoga/creative movement in Washington, DCs northeast suburbs. I love my funky, gritty, artistic community of urban homesteaders ...and families who have lived in town for three generations. I believe strongly that community is important and feel blessed to live in one that is so thriving. When I'm not in some sort of studio, and I'm not chasing my daughter around outside, my main hobbies are knitting, cooking, and gardening. Basically, I love turning things into other things: string into clothing, tiny seeds into actual vegetables, a pile of ingredients into a cohesive dish. I'm a master procrastinator, a lover of wine, coffee, and chocolate, a CSA member, and probably the only yoga teacher of any sort who can't touch their toes.show more
