What I like: Too many things! I collect records, books, art, animals sculpted from unique materials, and simply things I find unique and interesting. I'm a curious and playful person, but I also enjoy academics; I'm particularly interested in biology and literature. You can often mind me drawing reading a book and listening to my portable record player in my hammock on top of Sugarloaf (a popular hiking location in my city).

What I do for a living: After changing my major eight times, studying medicine, mathematics, programming, and education, I finally realized the interconnection of every subject through writing. I enjoy writing in many ways. I read it, I teach it, I write creative works, and I enjoy technical writing and editing. It is the root of communication, and I love to be immersed in a world in which I can thread together all the subjects that fascinate me. I also find that it blends well with my other hobbies--drawing, painting, music, photography, world cooking, and travel. I currently teach at Northern Michigan University where I'm studying for my MA degree. I also enjoy volunteering.

Things I hope to use Simbi for: Lessons (music, art, strange crafts, awesome things), experiences with people, expert knowledge (I'll let you know what kind if I figure that out), things I didn't even know I wanted, etc.
