Hey! I'm Nick, a small business owner and full-time student. I'm one semester away from graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a chemistry minor. Previously, before returning to university for a "real" degree, I studied natural and herbal medicine. I'm a certified Western Herbalist, a certified Chinese Herbalist, and an Aromatherapist. I'm also super passionate about Ayurvedic medicine and all forms of therapeutic movement (i.e. yoga, qigong, tai-chi just to name a few). I run a small herbal clinic and apothecary in Utah and sell teas both in my shop, online, and to a few restaurants and coffee shops.
I've always been passionate about good food and worked as a chef and a baker throughout my teens and early 20s. I've got some pretty awesome kitchen skills and some amazing recipes I've developed over the years. I also do a lot of fermentation, from wine and beer to sauerkrauts and kimchi and pretty much everything in between.
In life I'm kind of a "Jack of All Trades." I've never been afraid of trying new things (in fact I actively search them out), and have a natural ability to become at least proficient at most things. I've had a vast array of different life experiences, and this has set me up to identify and relate to a broad spectrum of people from different cultures and walks of life. I believe in the power of genuine human connection and compassion. I particularly like this quote from Hafiz ~
"The words you speak become the house you live in."
