I will help care for your babies while you're away! I will help with all species of mammals, most species of reptiles and amphibians, and fish and other aquatic pets. I'll feed, water, treat, walk, and play with your pets. I'm even comfortable giving medications (including injections) to pets. Just show me once so that I know how you handle your pet, and I'm good to go.
Afternoon/evening hours work best for me. I work in the Aragona/Bayside area of Virginia Beach, and live in the Landstown area, so anywhere between those is highly convenient for me.
I have my own transportation. I can get to you easily, and if something were to go wrong while you were away, rest assured that I would be able to get them to a preferred vet of yours (or an emergency vet, if it is after hours and the situation dictated the need for emergency intervention).
Training & Qualifications
I have fostered animals for the past 4 years. I have owned rabbits and dogs my entire life. I have four furbabies of my own currently - two collies and two rabbits. I've also owned a cat and guinea pigs in the past, who left me for the rainbow bridge due to cancer and old age. I have petsat chinchillas long term in the past as well.
I am comfortable with medical needs. I have administered sub cutaneous fluids to both rabbits and dogs. I have administered other types of injections in people, so as long as you show me how, I'm comfortable doing so.
I am also comfortable with mild aggression in dogs, as long as they don't bite for no reason. I'm okay with small animals being cranky and attempting to bite.
I also helped care for my previous school's fish and classroom bearded dragon. I have also cared for snakes, but I am not comfortable doing live feedings.
Availability & Preferences
Afternoons/evenings/very, very early mornings.
