About Erin Elizabeth

I'm a special education teacher. I love my job! I also mentor students in the robotics club at my school, as I have some background in computer science. I'm learning all about the hardware side of thi...ngs while I help the students with programming. I also really love animals. I have a houseful - 2 collies, 2 rabbits, and a revolving menagerie of foster animals, including dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, chinchillas, and other small animals. I've even had classroom pets in the past/ I have a special interest in dog training - Midna, my smaller, female dog and I compete in rally obedience and we've been training in herding, too. I foster for several local dog rescues and Isle of Wight County Animal Shelter. I also have a passion for math. I literally study calculus for fun in my free time. Before I became a teacher, I cared for individuals with disabilities for a time (both adults and children). I love the relationships, honesty, and trust I was given in that time from those individuals. I still keep in touch with many of them. Before that, I was a web designer for a time, but I'd rather not re-enter that particular field. I do have a minor physical disability, which primarily affects my hands and fine motor skills involving my hands. Occasionally, I do need help with tasks around the home, so if you're interested in any of my tasks, that's an excellent thing to offer me to trade. show more
