Reactive Dog Training (for humans)

25

25 per session - Virtual OK - Posted Jan 09, 2019

Your dog is an important part of your family. Don't let fear stand in the way of a fulfilling relationship with your dog, and a fulfilling life for your dog. I know how overwhelming it can be to have a reactive dog. You are scared to have guests over, or only walk them in the middle of the night to avoid other people. Are you scared you could get a noise complaint from your dogs barking? Maybe you have even thought about giving them away. Its okay. I've been there. You can get through this! And you will learn so much about yourself and your dog along the way.

I will coach you in ways to handle not only your own reactive dog, but others you may encounter. This includes:
Reactive Dog Etiquette
Pawsitive Rewards and Experiences
Bites, Growling, Lunging, and Barking
Protocol for Relaxation
Protocol for Deep Breathing
Communicating with your Pup
Confidence Building
Handling Strangers
Basic Dog First Aide
And case specific questions and situations

As a bonus, you will get a direct line to contact me at any time and friendly Pack Walks, if you are in my area.

I understand that everyone communicates in different ways, so phone calls, texting, emails, skype, and even Minneapolis/St Paul meet ups all work as ways to receive this service.

Training & Qualifications

I am a reactive dog advocate who works with rehabilitating dogs, and training humans. I grew a passionate for reactive dogs when I adopted my dog, Marley, and was spun into a whirlwind adventure socializing, and bonding with her. See, Marley wasn't like most dogs. She is fiercely intelligent, and incredibly empathetic but she has severe anxiety. Originally, I adopted her to become a service animal, but she didn't make the mark and was washed out of the program because of her aggression (not the most positive quality for a service animal). Thus, began my journey to finding accurate and helpful information to help her. After helping dozens of families, I now work closely with animal behaviorist Cheryl Gfrerer at Giffy Dog to help educate and empower people with "problem dogs," keeping good dogs out of shelters, and creating life long bonds with their humans.
