I am a literature lover. Since I first wrapped my fingers around Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, literature has been at the cornerstone of everything I have done. Alas! I never found the same passion that all of my friends had for writing in anything more than a couple lines of poetry. I did find, however, that I loved to edit and revise my friend's NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) submissions before they published their books. The satisfaction that grew of editing and giving feedback of these pieces was unmatched by anything I had done before. For me, there is nothing quite like helping someone achieve their dreams, especially when it is doing something I love to do. That is why I am here. An English and political science double major at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities, I am looking to help you achieve your dreams of publishing a novel that you will be proud to have on your coffee table or maybe even in a local bookstore.
Depending on the size of your text and exactly how detailed you want your edits and feedback will affect the time that is put into it. Below is a sample timeline:
=Week 1=
- Monday: a skype/phone call for approximately 1 - 2 hours where we will discuss a brief overview of your book and any other personal information.
- Tuesday: work day
- Wednesday: work day -
- Thursday: brief feedback of the content and character building of the first 7,000 - 10,000 words via email
- Friday: work day
- Saturday: edited version of the first 5,000 - 7,000 words submitted to you
- Sunday: a skype/phone call for approximately 2-3 hours discussing the content, character building, and general flow of the novel.
=Week 2 and 3=
- Monday: beginning of the next section of 5,000 - 7,000 words
- Tuesday: work day
- Wednesday: work day
- Thursday: brief email update
- Friday: work day
- Saturday: edited version of the next 5,000 words submitted to you
- Sunday: a skype/phone call for approximately 1-2 hours discussing the content character building, and general flow of the novel.
=Week 4=
BREAK WEEK
Work will resume the following Monday
=Week 5, 6, and 7=
- Monday: beginning of the next section of 5,000 - 7,000 words
- Tuesday: work day
- Wednesday: work day
- Thursday: brief email update
- Friday: work day
- Saturday: edited version of the next 7,000 words submitted to you
- Sunday: a skype/phone call for approximately 1-2 hours discussing the content character building, and general flow of the novel.
=Week 8: the final week=
- Monday: beginning of the next section of 5,000 - 7,000 words
- Tuesday: work day
- Wednesday: work day
- Thursday: brief email update
- Friday: work day
- Saturday: edited version of the last section of the novel submitted to you
- Sunday: a skype/phone call lasting approximately 2-3 hours to wrap up of the book, discuss conclusion, and final thoughts.
