About Emily Hillard

I am 28 years old, have purple hair and seven tattoos. I am also a mother, wife, and veteran. I believe that one of life's main purposes is to share my talents, knowledge, and experiences with the wor...ld and to enable others to do the same. I also hate melon, but please don't hold that against me. [for more information, please read below] I learned how to knit when I was seven and my love for art and crafts kept growing since then and hasn't stopped. I love to learn new techniques and to improve on those I already have. For example, I love watercolors, but have just started without any "formal" instruction. I found lessons so quickly and now have some really great tools and techniques to help achieve the look I want. I love new things, too! To see someone else's art or point of view is fantastic, especially if hadn't thought of it before. I've received so much help, warmth, and friendship from My fellow Simbi members in just the short time that it has been open. I've even received opportunities to help other people (which is really important to me). I think the most important thing is that I get to share my skills with others. I don't have a job, so I have been feeling incredibly lonely and longing to share my thought and skills with the world, and I get to do that now.
