I have invested 10+ years to learning the culture and language of Japan. It seems complex, but it's very fascinating, as is the country. I have lived in Japan for about a year, have friends who live there, and have visited many locations during my time there. My strengths lie in speaking and listening more than reading and writing. I haven't 100% grasped all three of the writing systems, but I understand two of the three with ease. I can get someone up past the initial difficulties and provide interesting explanations on many different things with the culture and the language. There are dictionaries, books, and textbooks I have at my disposal with with to teach and I am adept at using the keyboard option with writing.
Training & Qualifications
I have lived in the country from 2007 - 2008. I have helped two groups with English classes that are from Japan: Hiroshima College of Foreign Languages and Shizuoka University. I have taken up to intermediate level classes and have honed my ear on many conversations with others.
Availability & Preferences
Schedule varies depending on my retail work and can be scheduled slightly in advance.
