Private Solo Jazz Guitar Concert

70

70 per hour - Virtual OK

I will preform for you via HD live stream playing solo jazz guitar. Requests of all jazz standards are welcomed. I will play everything from I Got Rhythm to Devil's Island for you in your event.

Training & Qualifications

I am a professional musician based in Columbia, Mo. I am graduating with my Masters of Music in Jazz Performance and Pedagogy in May with a specific concentration in Jazz guitar. I play with Austin Jones and The Bootheel Boys, a local Americana Blues band. If you would like sound clips of pervious performances please let me know.

If you were to ask Caleb who is favorite guitar player is you would get the same answer today that you would have gotten ten years ago: Stevie Ray Vaughn. "Dad would always play three CDs whenever we went on a road trip in the Jeep: SRV's "Greatest Hits", Hall and Oats "Abandoned Luncheonette" , and Little Feat's "Waiting For Columbus - Live". As I got older, I appreciated the second two more but man, "House is A'Rockin" and "Little Wing" really turned me onto the guitar." It was a few years later at the age of thirteen that Caleb found an old guitar in a closet under the stairs and his journey began.

Having graduated from Wichita State University in 2013, Caleb Alexander specializes in guitar lessons in multiple styles for all levels of player. Currently working towards a Masters of Jazz Pedagogy and Performance at the University of Missouri, he is passionate about teaching students not only to play their instrument but also to become the best musicians possible. An important part of this is an emphasis on performance, which he includes by providing the opportunity for students to play in a studio showcase that is open to the community. Beyond guitar, Caleb is also available for lessons in jazz improvisation, audio engineering, and for studio and live performance sessions.

In addition to teaching Caleb is available for hire as a studio musician and engineer and also plays with multiple bands in Columbia, Mo. Some highlights include: Austin Jones and the Bootheel Boys, Concert Jazz Band from the University of Missouri, the jazz combo Debonair Dinosaur, and singer-songwriter Merry Ellen Kirk.

Caleb was fantastic to work with. He not only did a great job on mixing/mastering my song, he was excellent at implementing any adjustments I requeste...d and got it back to me very quickly. His work is detailed and complete. He's very easy to communicate with...which is really important when talking about audio recordings. I will be sending many more projects his way as he is very talented and a joy to work with. Thanks again Caleb!show more
