I will teach you about the evolution of jazz starting in the early 1900s with with musicians like King Oliver and the Original Dixie Land Jazz Band. From there we will progress chronologically through the decades focusing not only on important musicians but historical venues and recordings as well. We will enough our study in the 1980s with jazz fusion. This study will also include important events in popular music.
Training & Qualifications
I am getting my masters in Jazz Performace and Pedegogy and have studied the history of Jazz in depth. This is one of the courses that I am ready to teach at the university level.
