Training & Qualifications
I've been cooking since I was big enough to push a chair up to the stove and boil water for mac and cheese. My training comes from watching and helping my mother and sisters cook for our family. We lived in the heartland of Nebraska, so it was pretty basic, if substantial fare. As an adult, I've added my own grown up flair to my cooking, especially my canning and preserving, seeking out more subtle flavors and ethnic influences.
